Not only because the former MasterChef Italia judge was one of the contestants most loved by the public but also because he was a possible winner of the current edition. His precarious ones health conditionshowever, they did not allow him to continue his stay in Honduras and Bastianich preferred to retire definitively.
Before Monday’s live broadcast, the Italian-American entrepreneur had temporarily abandoned the beach where the castaways live following serious gastrointestinal symptoms. Joe Bastianich was hospitalized for a few days at a health facility near the production residence of theIsland of the famous, but after the usual tests, the medical staff told him that continuing the survival television experience would be dangerous. So Joe, during the last live broadcast of the program, communicated his withdraw. “In this adventure you have seen the weakest parts of me, having to leave due to these problems is something that makes me very sad“, said the entrepreneur, greeting his fellow castaways, with whom he had bonded deeply.
