Last appointment with “The Best Years”

Big names on the international scene again for the last appointment with “I Migliori Anni”, the variety show hosted by Carlo Conti created by the Prime Time Rai Entertainment management in collaboration with Endemol Shine Italy. On air Saturday 4 May at 9.25pm ​​on Rai 1, from the “Fabrizio Frizzi” studios in Roman. Guests, the American vocal trio Hues Corporation, who placed songs in Hit Parades all over the world in the 70s (the most famous among these is ‘Rock the boat’), and Wang Chung, a 80s new wave group, with a international hit above all: ‘Dance hall days’. The Italian scene will be represented by names who have made, and still make today, the history of the country’s music, starting with Massimo Ranieri and Fiorella Mannoia, the Camaleonti and Memo Remigi, who for decades have accompanied the lives of Italians with their successes . Words are also the protagonists of the funny moments entrusted to Maurizio Battista, the comedian who has a very personal and hilarious look at what happened during ‘the best years’, to smile at the old habits imprinted in the memory, but now outdated.
And again, the objects of ‘The Best Years’ are the protagonists of a fun interlude in the company of Giorgio Mastrota who, with his great power of persuasion, will describe them in an unusual and ironic way, taking us back to the golden times of teleshopping .
A ‘chorus’ of 30 male and female dancers, wearing period clothing, will animate the hits of the various decades with their choreographies.
An evolution of the format is the space dedicated to the ‘Future Box’, the ‘time capsule’ in which are inserted the characters, objects and records (33 or 45 rpm) which have marked 60 years of our history and must absolutely not be missed by future generations.
The young generations are also actively present in the Studio: in all episodes a group of 60 girls and boys, aged between 18 and 24, with their inseparable mobile phones, will send ‘live’ messages to the programme; they are their comments, their impressions, and in some cases even their wonders, when faced with songs, characters, objects, fashions and habits that they have never ‘touched firsthand’ and know, perhaps, only through family traditions.
