The latter, however, this time was unable to solve the final enigma of the five words to be connected, despite being confronted – according to many web commentators – with a rather affordable Guillotine.

The competitor originally from Bisceglie has totally fenced off the solution to link the five clue words together: place, space, next, speed, simple. The new champion after the canonical minute of reflection wrote on the card “orbit“, but right from the start he seemed aware that he had little chance of winning. “It’s difficult, many things came to mind but none of them fully convinced me”, he confessed to Liorni, who then pressed him: ” Not even the one you wrote?” correct was “race”. The controversy over the “Gregorio” case
This time, however, what caused discussion on the web was above all the 100 second game, the penultimate step of the program which allowed Francesco to win the champion title and access the Guillotine. The reason for the controversy? Several web users have noticed how the competitor was given a good one answer perhaps a little too generously. The question read by Liorni concerned the name of the Pope that he gave the name to the calendar modern, that is, the one still in use today. Francesco’s response was Gregory, to which the Gregorian calendar is dedicated; in reality, however, the unspecified competitor is Gregory XIII, a clarification perhaps necessary since in the history of the history of the Christian Church 16 Pontiffs have chosen that name. On closer inspection, therefore, Francesco would have given a incomplete answer at least, a detail that did not go unnoticed by several fans of the program who on “X” underlined the authors’ lack of intervention: “Well Pope Gregory WHAT excuse?” said web user, which was echoed by other fans. There are those who wrote: “To which pope..? Gregory…it is not enough!! Which? “. And again: “Okay, there have been quite a few Pope Gregory…”.
