With two men in command who knows what will happen, but in the meantime let’s see together the best and worst moments – the famous tops and flops – of this evening.
Island of the famous, episode 22 April 2024: the tops
We give the first top to Matilde Brandi for his willpower and sincerity: it is not easy to admit in front of everyone that you need to feel valued, recognized for your contribution to the group. But also because, despite a clash with Samuel having arisen precisely because men are not very cooperative, she only has nice words for him live since he is the only one who is always ready to support her in moments of discouragement. A demonstration that affection can conquer everything if true. There’s more though: Matilde is the first to ask for honesty from those who stole the cameraman’s food, while reassuring the culprit of the act: “Then we embrace it anyway, because we can make mistakes. But it’s a question of intellectual honesty“. An open and polite behavior, which everyone should take as an example.
Applause (well deserved) for Sonia Bruganellibecause she maintains her strong, decisive, critical line, without mincing words, which is exactly what we want from the commentator, even if at times it seems she has returned to Big Brother due to some comments related to possible flirtations between contestants (perhaps we forget that it is a very different reality show, even if anything can happen). The only exception is for Joe Bastianich: she is unable to fight him properly and is so attracted to him that she invites him for a date after the Island (the entrepreneur accepts): let her be the one looking for the love on the Island of the Famous? Jokes aside, we really like her interventions, in particular because they are often sharp and touch on the right points, those that the presenter misses along the way (unfortunately).
Passed with full marks too Alvina Verecondi, a nip competitor so lively, fun and cheerful that it’s difficult not to be fascinated by her. She loves life and it shows in her energy, spontaneity and positivity: seeing her sad never happens, at least live, and certainly, to people like Pietro the “poet” – always annoyed, sulky and boring – we prefer her, who at least brings on the island a breath of fresh air and lots of joy, also offering healthy laughter and smiles.
Island 2024: the flops
We give the first flop to Vladimir Luxuria who continues to favor a linear management, without flashes, to follow an uninteresting schedule – there are many inputs to make the episode more lively, it’s a shame that she is never on point, except for a few jokes here and there. But the real problem lies in the fact that the presenter never exposes herself enough, she doesn’t take a clear position, she doesn’t impose herself to enforce the rules (“They just stole food out of hunger“), as if taking other people’s food were a small thing, while, in addition to being an unjustifiable gesture, it is also disrespectful towards those who in this edition – and in previous ones – hold on, eating what little is available. It is natural to draw a parallel with the presenter who preceded her, Ilary Blasi, whose style (although questionable in other respects) was much more marked and “peppery”, and in some ways suitable for a reality show like the Island which requires a decisive and recognizable way to function properly. However, what does not disappoint is her introductory speech with which, in a calm manner, she responds to the controversies that have arisen since the first episode, saying she is ready to accept constructive criticism if it is really useful for improving her performance. way of working in the program. Both the tone chosen and the maturity that emerges from this statement are to be appreciated.
Also rejected Khady Gueye for the hypocrisy demonstrated in the last few days starting from the last episode, when the presenter asked if she knew anything about the theft of food and she replied that she had nothing to do with it. Today, however, we discover that she is among the people who ate the cameraman’s rice. It was enough to admit like Pietro that he had taken advantage of her, a wrong gesture in any case but at least she would have been honest. And the worst is that she also complains when her companions, despite having leftover food, don’t allow her the second portion, as she is punished like Pietro and Alvina for the gesture (only 20g for them). Rules are rules, it’s certainly not a question of lack of humanity, as she tells Samuel, also calling him a “hypocrite and selfish” and shouting at him to be ashamed. You should examine your conscience, but not everyone can do it.
This evening too disappoints Pietro Fanelli, not only because he allows himself to tell Bruganelli to be ashamed, without any reason among other things, given that she is right to point out the fact that Khady could have behaved better regarding the “food-gate”. As profound as the young man may seem, he is actually very childish in both his ways and his thoughts, and this is also demonstrated by his attitude during the reward test, when he turns to stare at the sea, instead of eating his portion of pasta with his meatballs, and then commented: “I want to go back home. I don’t want to see people dying of hunger and fame“. Always ready to offend the boy, but a video is making the rounds on Twitter in which he admits to going to the island for fame (and money, given that Bruganelli has no problem saying that he too is paid for stay there). All these useless and repetitive scenes are unnerving. If he really wants to leave, let him go, but stop being so unbearable.
Daniele Rapini Tedeschi he doesn’t even convince today with his intellectual air: he talks a lot but in reality has nothing relevant to say, and in the meantime he judges everyone as if he were superior to others because he is cultured. We would like to remind him that being educated does not mean being intelligent, but above all that believing himself to be better than another person already makes him a worse man. Finally, we give the last flop to the authors for not having made the new arrivals immune: it is normal for the castaways, during a rescue chain, to choose those they have already known for a few weeks, leaving the others behind.
