The actress who plays Eloise in the hit Netflix series has spoken about how the role has changed her life, as she continues to suffer from impostor syndrome.

Even when I returned to the set for the third season I thought I would be terrible and that they would fire me,” the actress revealed in a recent interview with Guardian.

The actress, looking back at the path she has come, still finds it hard to believe the opportunity she had. “I love it. Playing Eloise means being able to support my family and friends, which is something I never thought I would be able to do. I’m still amazed I was chosen. I was absolutely petrified to go on set, I’m still nervous. Even when I came back to the set for the third season I thought I would be terrible and that they would fire me. It’s a feeling that never goes away,” she said.

Just like her character, Jessie is also inclined to reject the norms of high society. She revealed that she absolutely considers herself an outsider on the show because she’s a working-class actress playing a high-society character. “I think that Bridgerton be brilliant, because there are a lot of people who wouldn’t usually be seen in those roles like a lady or a duke. When I am interviewed I am often asked if I would like to live in the world Bridgerton and I have to remind them that if I did it I would be part of that group”, observed the interpreter of Eloise. Despite this syndrome of the impostor that haunts her a little, the actress is well aware of how Bridgerton it was his big break. “I’m simply the happiest person you’ve ever seen, I couldn’t be happier. My life has been, unequivocally, better than I thought it would be,” she concluded.
