Two young women, with various criminal records, were arrested by the police in Milan after stealing a girl’s iPhone. The two, one pregnant and the other with an 8-month-old baby in her arms, were chased by Valerio Staffelli who with his crew witnessed the theft and tried to recover the 17-year-old’s cell phone. The young women, aged 27 and 18 respectively, were taken to prison on charges of attempted theft. The correspondent of Striscia la Notizia was heard as a witness, the smartphone was then recovered and handed over to the girl. It is not the first time that Striscia intervenes in cases of theft, especially on public transport in large cities. A report, broadcast a few days ago, immortalized some pickpockets on board the Milan metro. Having noticed the presence of both Staffelli and the operators of Antonio Ricci’s program, one of them threw umbrellas in an attempt to push them away. “Go away, I can’t rob anyone here,” one of the women shouted, addressing Valerio Staffelli.
