British actor Ray Stevenson, best known for his roles in the TV series Roma, in the film The Three Musketeers by Paul WS Anderson and in the Thor saga, died on Monday 22 May at the Rizzoli hospital in Ischia where he had been hospitalized following a illness on set.

Illness and hospitalization

Stevenson had been on the island for a few days to shoot the film Cassino on Ischia, directed by Frank Ciota and in which Ugo Dighero also stars, when he fell ill on the afternoon of Saturday 20 May and hospitalization in the island hospital became necessary. The actor’s conditions, which immediately appeared very serious, worsened on the morning of Monday 22 May, causing his death.
