UMBRIA REGION – The first “shock was felt around the city of Umbertide, we are monitoring through the Civil Protection and there seems to have been no damage” Donatella Tesei, president of the Umbria Region, told Adnkronos. “Limited, but perceived, I have felt here in my office in Perugia. UMBERTIDE MAYOR – As for the first shock, Luca Carizia, mayor of Umbertide tells Adnkronos, “it was unique, short but intense, we felt it well, but fortunately it did not cause any visible damage at present”. “We are monitoring the situation well, but in the meantime we have prepared an ordinance for which schools will be closed tomorrow and the day after. We have opened the municipal operations center so that the Civil Protection is continuously alerted and we are here in the Municipality, evaluating the situation in general terms: we will stay here all night to understand what to do”. “Obviously, there is fear always, we all got a little scared. We were in the technical offices of the Municipality, we were looking at a project when we felt a strong shock. The strategic buildings, such as schools and hospitals, are not currently damaged – he continues – by the inspection carried out. But we will check better in the next few hours”.
