SOLBIATE CON CAGNO – It happened in the middle of the night, a loud roar and panic ensued. 3.40, we are in Solbiate con Cagno, in the province of Como, just a few kilometers from the province of Varese. The explosion seems to have occurred – according to the first information – due to an activated carbon absorber machine in the Comet company (part of the Tesa group) which exploded with a loud bang. This was followed by the fire.
The firefighters were promptly on site with various means and five teams, but also two ambulances, one of these from Sos Malnate, but no injuries were reported: fortunately, no injuries were reported.
The technicians of ARPA and Ats Insubria also arrived in via Cadorna and the men of the Carabinieri, who are investigating the causes of the explosion, on which there is still absolute secrecy.
