Collision between two cars in Scalea nel Cosentino, a man traveling in a Fiat 500 died in the accident
SCALEA (COSENZA) – A serious road accident occurred along the Strada Statale 18 in the locality of “La Bruca” near Scalea. The intervention of the air rescue was also necessary. The collision occurred shortly after midday. Two cars were involved, a Fiat 500 (historic version) and a Mercedes. The collision, particularly violent, occurred near the junction for the locality of La Bruca which marks the border between Scalea and Marcellina di Santa Maria del Cedro. On site, the intervention of the traffic police, the fire brigade and the local police of Scalea and Santa Maria del Cedro to regulate traffic on both sides. The transit of vehicles remained blocked for the time necessary for the rescue operations.
SCALEA, ACCIDENT BETWEEN TWO CARS, DRIVER OF FIAT 500 DEAD
The driver of the Fiat 500 did not make it. The man, LP, 61 years old, originally from Campania, died in the following hours due to the serious injuries sustained in the collision. They had tried everything. For reasons that are being ascertained by the Highway Patrol who intervened on the scene, the impact was head-on between the two cars.
