Changes to circulation and train cancellations are coming next weekend throughout Liguria.
The works concern the infrastructural improvement in Genoa Brignole and are scheduled from 8.00 on Friday 28 June to 4.00 on Monday 1 July.
Trenitalia warns that further changes may also occur before or after construction time. In some routes the activation of the replacement bus service is planned.
Details of changes and cancellations
Friday 28 June regional trains 22873 and 22875 (Genoa Voltri – Genoa Brignole) are cancelled;
from Friday 28th to Sunday 30th June some regional trains of the Genoa – Savona, Genoa – Busalla/Arquata/Novi Ligure, Genoa – Acqui Terme, Genoa – Alessandria/Turin, Milan – Genoa, Genoa – Sestri Levante/La Spezia, Genoa – Albenga/Ventimiglia and Genoa – Piacenza connections – Ravenna/Rimini, I am canceled between the stations of Genova Brignole and Genova Piazza Principe or Genova Sampierdarena, some change the time even with advances and/or changing numbering. The RV 2114 train from Genova Brignole to Torino P. Nuova also departs from Genova P. Principe on Monday 1st July. The Intercity 500 train is canceled from Genova Brignole to Novi Ligure from 29 June to 1 July.
Saturday 29 June the trains of the relationship Genoa Nervi – Brignole – Voltri are cancelled; the trains R 12074 and R 12015 of the report Genoa Brignole – Novi Ligure they are cancelled and a bus service has been established on the affected route. The Frecciarossa 9744 Venice-Genoa is canceled from Genoa Piazza Principe to Genoa Brignole, the Frecciabianca 8630 Rome-Genoa is canceled from La Spezia to Genoa P. Principe and the Frecciabianca 8626 Rome-Genoa brings forward the timetables from Rome to Genoa Piazza Principe. Intercity train 687 is canceled from Genova P. Principe to La Spezia C.le and Intercity 518 brings forward timetables from Rome to Ventimiglia;
Saturday 29th and Sunday 30th June some regional trains of the Ventimiglia/Imperia/Alassio/Albenga/Savona – Genoa/Sestri Levante/La Spezia and La Spezia/Sestri Levante – Genoa/Milan connections are totally or partially cancelled between Savona or Cogoleto and Genoa Sestri Ponente and/or Sestri Levante/Recco/Genoa Nervi/Genoa Quarto – Genoa, some trains also change the timetable with advances, extensions and/or change numbering. On the routes affected by the changes to train circulation there are bus services established. Intercity train 519 is canceled from Novi Ligure to Genova Brignole. On the night of 29/30 June the Intercity night trains 796, 799 and 1963 change the timetable also with advances;
Sunday 30 June regional trains 12121 and R 12116 Genoa – Acqui Terme are canceled and a bus service is established on the affected route; the trains R 22977 and R 22978 of the reports Sestri Levante – La Spezia Migliarina are cancelled. The Frecciarossa 9710 Genoa-Venice is cancelled from Genoa Brignole to Genoa Piazza Principe and the Frecciabianca 8601 is cancelled from Genoa Piazza Principe to La Spezia. The Intercity train 652 is cancelled from La Spezia to Genoa P. Principe.
The available seats on the buses in circulation, which will increase their travel times also in relation to road traffic, may be lower than the normal service offered, it is therefore advisable to consider replanning your trip.
