There is no good news for Italian motorists who were hoping for a reduction in their spending on fuel and transport prices. The price of petrol and dieselin fact, knows no reversal and continues to grow, with a full tank of fuel increasingly becoming a luxury that limits and affects the family budget. The average price of self-service petrol in Italy is at 1.859 euros/litre (+0.003), while that of diesel is 1.735 euros/litre (+0.008).
The price of petrol and diesel is rising
The data on average fuel prices in Italy were indicated by the Price Observatory of the Ministry of Enterprise and Made in Italy, with the processing of the same carried out by Quotidiano Energia in relation to the time span between 8 and June 23, 2024. The most striking fact that emerges is that all types of fuels, i.e gas, diesel, LPG And methanerecorded an increase, albeit limited, in the cost at the charging station compared to the previous survey.
The price of petrol is rising in Italy
In the period between 8 and 23 June 2024 the average price of petrol in Italy at the vending machine in self-service mode it was equal to 1,859 euro/litre, compared to 1.856 euro/litre in the previous survey (+0.003). The companies providing the petrol refueling service have self-service prices which vary between 1,850 And 1,869 euro/litre, while for those without logo the price is 1,847 euro/litre.
The price at the charging station is decidedly higher for the petrol refueling served. In this case the average price recorded in Italy is 2 euro/litre, while in the previous survey it was 1.997 euro/litre. The price range of companies with logos varies between 1,936 And 2,068 euro/litre, while for no logo it stands at 1,906 euro/litre.
The price of diesel in Italy: average at 1.727 euros/litre
More or less at the same rate as petrol, in Italy also grew price of diesel. For the Price Observatory of the Ministry of Business and Made in Italy, the price medium at the charging station in self-service mode is equal, in the period between 8 and 23 June 2024, to 1,735 euro/litre, while in the previous survey it was at 1.727 euro/litre (+0.008). Greater growth, in absolute terms, than petrol. The prices charged to the charging station by the brands vary between the high end of 1,731 euro/litre and the low one of 1,748 euro/litre. For no logo it is a 1,722 euro/litre.
Naturally, the price in Italy is higher diesel servedwhose average cost is equal to 1,877 euro/litre. In the previous survey it was at 1.868 euros/litre. The companies, in this case, offer prices ranging between 1,820 And 1,953 euro/litre, while for no logo it is a 1,780 euro/litre.
In Italy the price of LPG and methane is also growing
In Italyin the time frame taken as reference by the Ministry of Business and Made in Italy, the prices Of methane And LPG. In the first case the average prices fluctuate from 1,314 to 1,386 euro/kg, dropping to 1,324 euro/kg for no logo. Finally, LPG has an average price of between 0.714 And 0.732 euro/litre, with the sum requested by the no logo being 0.699 euro/litre.
