Another tragedy at work has hit the Pontine area, which must mourn another victim. A 62 year old farmer has died after that thresher he was working on suddenly caught fire. Despite immediate rescue and air ambulance transport to hospital, the man died in the late afternoon of Sunday 23 June. The victim was called Luigi Guerriero. The combine harvester suddenly catches fire. Giggi was rescued by a colleague and immediately taken to hospital. He didn’t make it.”
They thus rise to five victims at work in one week in Lazio, the third in the Pontine province, where the tragedy of Satnam Singhthe Indian laborer was injured a week ago by a plastic wrapping machine, unloaded by his employer in front of his house with a amputated arm and died a few days later in hospital.

The accident
The accident occurred on Saturday 22 June on land located at kilometer 58+500 of the Appia, in the Cisterna area. Luigi Guerriero was involved in a tragic accident while working on a thresher. For reasons still under investigation, probably a short circuita fire started on the thresher which enveloped the vehicle, also hitting the man on board.
The alarm was raised by a colleague who was on site with him. The firefighters and civil protection volunteers intervened immediately to put out the fire. The 118 health workers also arrived quickly and organized the transport of the man to hospital by air ambulance. Unfortunately, despite timely help, Luigi Guerriero died in the late afternoon of Sunday 23 June.
