OnePlus announces the debut in Italy of the new OnePlus Nord CE 4 Lite: here are the specifications and price of the brand’s new entry level
OnePlus officially unveils its new one entry level of the 2024 range for the European market: this is the new one OnePlus Nord CE 4 Litea smartphone ready to carve out an important space for itself in Italy too, to support the growth of the brand.
The model is an evolution of the previous one OnePlus Nord CE 3 Lite, unveiled last year, with an updated spec sheet (but with the same chip) and a new design. It will not arrive in Europe (for the moment). OnePlus Nord CE 4unveiled a couple of months ago in India and equipped with the excellent Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 SoC.
OnePlus Nord CE 4 Lite: technical characteristics
The OnePlus Nord CE 4 Lite data sheet includes a 6.67 inch AMOLED display with Full HD+ resolution and maximum refresh rate of 120 Hz. The peak brightness is 2,100 nits. According to OnePlus, the display uses “the same lighting material” used for the display of the former top of the range OnePlus 11.
This manages to guarantee a substantial increase in maximum brightness. Previous models of the CE Lite series also used LCD panels. The generational leap, in this respect, guarantees a significant improvement. Below the panel there is a fingerprint sensor.
The smartphone is equipped with Qualcomm Snapdragon 695 SoCmade at 6 nm and able to guarantee the use of 5G network. This is the same chip already used by the Nord CE 2 Lite (2022) and the Nord CE 3 Lite (2023). The choice to still use this Qualcomm chip, without switching to a more recent model, is destined to cause discussion and could penalize the commercial results of the smartphone, at least until the price drops significantly.
The chip is flanked by 8 GB of RAM And 256GB of UFS 2.2 storage (compared to the CE 3 Lite there is double the storage memory). The smartphone is equipped with RAM-Vitalization technology, to maintain, according to OnePlus, up to 26 apps in the background, and ROM-Vitalization, to guarantee a quick and fluid user experience for up to 48 months, always based on the data provided from the company.
The battery is from 5,110 mAh with SUPERVOOC fast charging from 80 W. There is also the possibility of using 5W reverse charging. Then there is the OnePlus Battery Health Engine, a proprietary technology which, according to the company, allows you to preserve the longevity of the battery (up to 1,600 charging cycles).
The photographic sector includes a dual rear camera, with a main sensor Sony LYT-600 50 Megapixel with OIS and 2x in-sensor zoom and a 2 Megapixel sensor for depth of field detection. Due to limitations due to the chip, the smartphone is capable of recording videos up to 1080p at 30 fps. The front camera is 16 Megapixel.
OnePlus’ new entry level is equipped with Wi-Fi 5, Bluetooth 5.1 and NFC chip. There’s also the 3.5mm audio jack as well as dual stereo speakers. The operating system is Android 14 with OxygenOS 14. There is still no information regarding the type of software support that will be guaranteed to the smartphone which, in any case, should receive at least 2 major updates to the operating system.
The dimensions are equal to 162.9 x 75.6 x 8.1mm while the weight is 191 grams.
OnePlus Nord CE 4 Lite: price and availability
The new OnePlus Nord CE 4 Lite is on sale immediately in Italy, with deliveries starting next week. The smartphone is marketed with a list price of 329 EUR but his launch price (valid until August 2) is 279 EUR. At the moment, the new Nord CE 4 Lite can be purchased from the official OnePlus store, in pre-order, but it should also arrive in the price lists of some retailers. Users interested in purchasing will be able to choose between two colors (Mega Blue and Super Silver).
