At the end of the year, on Friday 28 June, a “students’ day” will be held dedicated to the students who attend the various courses of the theological-pastoral school “A house to narrate”, who will experience a moment of training, exchange and fraternity with all the training community. This is an afternoon dedicated to the celebration with the Holy Mass at 7.00 pm, in the Church of San Pietro in Trapani.

Then students, teachers and volunteers who provide their service in the four locations of the theological school (Calatafimi, Alcamo, Custonaci and Trapani) will move to the diocesan museum of contemporary art “San Rocco” for a moment of conviviality.

Here at 9.00 pm, with participation open to the public, the presentation of the volume “Peter the fisherman shepherd” (Il Pozzo di Giacobbe, 2024 series “Oasi”) by Don Fabio Pizzitola, biblical scholar and parish priest, director of the “Casa per Narrate”. The volume, which reworks a speech given at the national seminar on parish evangelization cells, focuses on Peter’s dual calling: the first to be a “fisher of men”; the second as “shepherd” of the flock: two calls that radically transform Peter’s life, exemplary for the calling of every presbyter and pastoral worker. Speakers will be Francesca Messina, theologian and Don Liborio Palmeri, professor at the Pontifical University “Sant’Anselmo” in Rome and director of the “San Rocco” Museum. The conclusions will be entrusted to Bishop Pietro Maria Fragnelli, who at the end of the meeting will deliver the certificates of participation to the students who have completed the cycle of studies.
