The PUMS (Urban Plan for Sustainable Mobility) has come to life. The team of engineers from the Sintagma company which was commissioned by the Municipality of Savona to draw up PUMS and the Parking Plan will be in Savona for a public meeting with citizens which will take place on Thursday 20 June at 5pm in the Sala Rossa of Palazzo Sisto.
The meeting, which aims to involve the city, will be attended by the mayor Marco Russo, the Councilor for Mobility Ilaria Becco and the manager of Public Works, engineer Marco Delfino to explain what the objectives of the Administration are.
Engineer Tito Berti Nulli of Sintagma will instead talk about the stages of the path that between now and November will lead first to the completion of the Parking Plan and then to the PUMS draft. Administrators and technicians from the Municipalities of Varese and Livorno will also speak and will talk about the path, similar to that undertaken by Savona, which led to the implementation of the first interventions on mobility in application of the PUMS.
The methods of involving citizens will be explained starting from an online questionnaire which will be put online shortly until the creation in September of three tables dedicated to parking, public transport and soft mobility.
The local mobility actors in Savona (TPL, System Authority and Anas) will also take part in the meeting in the Red Room, given that the PUMS will proceed hand in hand with the revision of the bus lines and with all the other infrastructural interventions concerning the territory.
“Mobility is an essential element of the transformation of the city in a sustainable way – says Councilor Becco – For this reason the path that will lead us to PUMS is fully part of the new mobility routes, a very hot topic for a territory like that of Liguria and, above all, a fundamental theme in view of Savona 2027″.
