Disability and support, meeting and discussion with Luca Trapanese

The interesting meeting with Luca Trapanese will be held on Monday 17 June 2024, at 6 pm, in the Council Room of the Town Hall of Sora, in Corso Volsci 111. An important moment of discussion on the topic of disability and debate on the topics covered in the Neapolitan author’s books. The initiative, promoted by Mondadori Sora, is sponsored by the Municipality of Sora. The journalist Ilaria Paolisso will moderate the meeting.

Single father of a little girl with Down syndrome, whom he adopted in 2018, Luca Trapanese has been councilor for social policies of the Municipality of Naples since 2021. He loves to travel a lot, since he was 14 years old, preferring developing countries. He loves India and Africa, where he has always carried out voluntary work, coordinating very important projects and collaborating with Mother Teresa’s nuns.

He grew up spiritually in Lourdes, on the white train, where he established intense relationships with many disabled children. He founded “A Ruota Libera Onlus” with Eduardo Savarese and together they created a long series of projects related to disability.

He recently started a community for disabled children without parents, “Il borgo Sociale” and a family home for children with serious malformations, unique in the whole of Southern Italy, “La Casa di Matteo”. He has been coordinating the projects of the Cardinal of Naples Foundation for ten years and actively collaborates with important charities, such as: the Pio Monte della Misericordia, the Giglio Foundation; the Cannavaro Ferrara Foundation. You have written numerous books including the bestseller “Born for You” from which the highly successful film of the same name was based.
