What happened
As Fabio Salamida of Today reports, during the debate the opposition deputies displayed the tricolor as a symbol of national unity to protest against the bill introducing differentiated autonomy. All the oppositions then united in singing the Italian anthem and Bella Ciao. “While we were singing the Italian anthem, Lega deputies made the X Mas sign” denounces Avs deputy Angelo Bonelli. “An outrage against the Republic and the flag that must be prosecuted.” Shortly afterwards, the Northern League deputy Domenico Furgiuele was expelled by President Fontana for having made the “X” sign with his arms. “I did it to say that I don’t like Bella ciao”, the Northern League parliamentarian replied to reporters.
Deputy taken away in wheelchair
At a certain point Donno approached the government benches to carry a flag, but the gesture was evidently read as a provocation. Mollicone had no doubts when they asked him if the Five Star representative was hit by the Northern League member Igor Iezzi: ”Donno jumped. on the ground and made a scene…”.
