The causes of the argument between some people who, yesterday evening in Piazza Mediterraneo, the ancient heart of the village of Cava d’Aliga, beat each other by triggering the checks, need to be ascertained. Quarrel with physical aggression which did not lead to serious injuries but which raised the bar for checks by the police. The soldiers of the Modica Company and the Scicli Tenenza were already carrying out a series of checks in the area last night and in the early morning of today. The recordings of the video surveillance systems inside the inhabited center of Cava d’Aliga are noted, both in the entrance and exit areas as well as in the meeting places. The serenity in one of the quietest villages on the Scicli coast is at risk.

At night, and for weeks even during the day, there is a continuous “siege” with patrols stopping and checking suspicious and non-suspicious cars.
