Savona. Last night, Saturday 8 June, from 9pm, in the enchanting setting of Villa Cambiaso, in the heart of Savona, was the headquarters of all the Miss Liguri. The splendid setting of the historic 17th century residence, where Napoleon also stopped, has hosted the first regional selection of Miss Italia Liguria 2024, led by Mirella Rocca, also exclusive to Valle d’Aosta and Piedmont. She was also present at the evening Francesca Bergesiothe winner of Miss Italia 2023.
Francesca Bergesiocurrent Miss Italy in charge (Miss Italia 2023) and member of the jury yesterday evening, shared his thoughts on his experience and the emotions linked to the Miss Italia selections: “Participating in these events is always a great emotion because tI go back in time and remember my first selection. Miss Italia brought out the best part of me when I put myself out there. I wish all the girls a journey as splendid as mine and however it goes it will forever be a beautiful journey that they will keep in their hearts – said Bergesio -. The second they elect you your life is turned upside down. I was supposed to start university the Monday after the final but I never started. I dedicated myself to this path, I stuck with it, it was a full and intense year. There is sacrifice, but it is made with the heart and I would do it again.”
On her future, Miss Italia reveals: “Now the journey continues – she concluded -. I will have several selections throughout Italy after a month’s stop for physical reasons. Then I will also take part in various sponsor events and For the future I dream of cinema“.
In the wake of such success that, data in hand, this year there was a boom in registrations. The most famous competition in Italy, for 85 years has been making girls aged 18 to 30 dream, who love to show off their beauty, but also their talent, their personality, their qualities, not just aesthetic ones.
Veronica Vintera of Villa Cambiaso explains: “We are happy to host Miss Italia, a competition that has historical importance. This evening there was beauty and us we always vote for beauty. Villa Cambiaso is increasingly a location for various events: we have exhibitions, culture and entertainment. In the future we want use the garden for dedicated events and musical, taking advantage of the upcoming good season with new initiatives”.
VILLA CAMBIASO
A residence that belonged to several noble families was purchased by the Colonnas on the advice of Napoleon Bonaparte. The palace, richly frescoed, preserves a consecrated chapel where Pope Pius VII used to celebrate mass. In the main entrance there is a fountain attributed to Bernini and the main floor was the scene of Benito Mussolini’s gala lunch. The rear part of the building is surrounded by an elegant 2500 m2 Italian garden. Currently the Historic House belongs to the Vintera family, where Graziella Veronica and Mattia are working hard to bring it back to the splendors of the past.
