First day of voting, turnout data in Pisa

First days of voting for the European elections, which for 185 Tuscan municipalities coincide with the administrative elections for the election of the mayor and the renewal of the municipal council.

With the close of the first day of voting, the first data on turnout recorded since the polls opened today at 3pm until 11pm were released. As regards the province of Pisa, the administrative elections concern a total of 26 municipalities, 4 of which have more than 15 thousand inhabitants: a Ponsacco 22.32% of eligible voters went to the polls. Percentage slightly lower than San Miniato, where on the first day today he voted 20.03 of the right events, and to San Giuliano Terme, where the turnout was 19.82. TO Pontedera the turnout was 23.17%.

The other municipalities voting for the administrative elections in the province of Pisa are Calci, Calcinaia, Capannoli, Casale Marittimo, Casciana Terme Lari, Castelfranco di Sotto, Castelnuovo di Val di Cecina, Chianni, Crespina Lorenzana, Fauglia, Guardistallo, Lajatico, Montescudaio, Monteverdi Marittimo, Montopoli in Val d’Arno, Palaia, Peccioli, Pomarance, Santa Croce sull’Arno, Terricciola, Vicopisano and Volterra.

The average turnout in the province of Pisa for the local elections was 21.74% today. The one for the election of members of the is slightly lower European Parliament: 19.25%
