The world of motorsport involves millions and millions of fans spread around the planet every year. Championships such as Formula 1, Moto GP or SuperBike are in fact expanding more and more with each passing season involving fans from all five continents, consequently widening the catchment area and public interested in these events.

Another consequence of this expansion is the arrival of numerous sponsors and other monetary income relating to agreements with pay-TVs and also the sale of merchandising which evidently increase revenues in this sector. In this way, even the pilots and all the professionals behind the races receive high salaries in certain cases, also in light of the fact that for those who take to the track it is a very risky sport for their lives.

In this regard, the biggest Moto GP fans will remember without a shadow of a doubt Danilo Petrucci who until a year ago was involved in the MotoGP where he competed with various bikes such as Ducati, KTM and Suzuki. Now he is dedicating himself to SuperBike and often when he can he also trains in motocross which is another great passion of his in addition to track racing.

However, last April Petrucci himself did get caught a huge scare to his fans following a bad fall during training. He had made a lot of news and there had been some concern among his fans about his health conditions, following the accident he suffered on the sidelines of a motocross session on the Cingoli track in the province of Macerata.

For Petrucci there was a bad fall which caused him great fear and also painful consequences such as the breaking of some teeth, the jaw, the collarbone and even the shoulder blade. In the last few hours he told the microphones of ‘Fanpage’ his feelings about this terrible scare: “It was like falling from the fourth floor, the motorbike saved my legs. After the crash I opened my eyes and… I was happy to still be alive”.

Strong words from Petrucci who then recounted all the fears of an accident which once again confirms the peaks of danger that the world of racing can experience.
