“The tragedy of the flood that hit many of our territories on 2 and 3 November last involves, and we owe it to the citizens and businesses affected first of all, attention that the Meloni government has never failed to do, as demonstrated by the latest Simest’s 300 million commitment, that we go all the way to truly understand what has been missing in the prevention and management of those areas decimated by bad weather. Obstructing, by the PD, the commission of inquiry in the Tuscan Regional Council, and it is an example above all, is a reckless action because the fact that there may be responsibilities that must be identified should be everyone’s objective. Instead, the nomination of Ilaria Bugetti, center-left candidate for the leadership of Prato, as vice president by the Democratic Party, in the midst of the electoral campaign, seems to represent an obstructionist attempt, however poorly concealed, to block the search for the truth. Either the Democratic Party is already certain of losing in Prato with its candidate or, evidently, it hopes that the vice president it has indicated will never appear in the commission. A method that represents exactly the opposite of the institutional value that such a commission must have.”
He writes it in a note Prato deputy of the Brothers of Italy Chiara La Porta.
