At the Palapikelc in Opicina (Trieste), for the second consecutive year, the prestigious event for artistic figure skating took place with the Artistic International Series, a traveling format created by World Skate, which saw the participation of over 500 athletes representing 30 countries around the world. There was no shortage of satisfaction for the Modena colours. In particular for the Spilamberto Carlotta Bruzzi, working for the Arcispazio Piumazzo Ruote Libere. The athlete, followed by the technicians Alessia Orsi, Nicole Bonvicini and Stefano Orsi, was called up by the coach of the Italian national team Fabio Holland in the dance solo specialty and in the dance couple specialty with Alessandro Grossi, of the Borghi Gonzaga company. And in a very high level competition Carlotta conquered the top step of the podium, winning the gold medal in the dance solo specialty, international cadet category.
In the Jeunesse category dance couple specialty, Carlotta paired with Alessandro, followed by the technicians Lorenza Residori, Fabio Grossi and Alessia Orsi, won the bronze medal with a high-level performance. An even more precious achievement considering Alessandro’s recent injury which saw the tandem forced to stop for several weeks. Alessandro Grossi also won a silver medal in the solo dance specialty Jeunesse category.
Great satisfaction also came from the Artistic International series for the Junior Sacca of Modena. Ginevra Riccardo, paired in figure skating with Cortini Rodolfo (Libertas Forlì), competed in the Jeunesse category in which she achieved a wonderful second place, winning silver.
Excellent performance also for Ginevra Ottaviani who, in a very competitive context, reached the foot of the podium, surpassing the other Italian athletes in the race. And, as mentioned, from Junior Sacca they rejoice: «These results give us hope for the next national and international events».l
