Two apartments to help people affected by the flood

2 new apartments and 3 more on the way to deal with the housing emergency in Faenza after the flood. Caritas today inaugurated the first home made available to people from Faenza who have not yet been able to return to their homes. The apartment, in the premises of the Parish of San Savino, will be available next week and has been designed for a group of 3-4 people. Same capacity for the second apartment, in the parish of Sant’Ippolito, which may be available soon. Longer times however for three apartments in San Domenico, for which the green light from the Superintendence is still missing. All three interventions were possible thanks to the donation from Banco BPM to Caritas Emilia-Romagna. After the Romagna flood, the banking group donated over 1 million and 300 thousand euros, which Caritas divided into the various territories. The apartments, owned by the parishes, will remain available to Caritas for 7 years. The families affected by the flood will be hosted free of charge. They will only have to pay for the utilities.

Thanks to the funds donated by Banco BPM, Caritas has also implemented a series of initiatives in Villanova di Bagnacavallo, Boncellino, Sant’Agata sul Santerno, Solarolo, Reda and other parishes in Faenza.
