Award ceremony for the “A day as a surveyor – The school I would like” competition

On May 24th, in the main hall of the S. Todaro primary school of IC Chioggia 2, the awards ceremony for the “A day as a surveyor – The school I would like” competition took place. The initiative, promoted by the College of Surveyors of Venice, was designed to introduce lower secondary school students to the tasks and duties of the surveyor.
The competition aimed to have students redesign an area of ​​their school. Two second grade classes, coming from the Pascoli and Maderna schools, participated enthusiastically. The 2A class of the G. Pascoli plexus, giving space to creativity and imagination, created a themed project “The sky in a room” complete with soft cloud-shaped armchairs, a hydroponic wall and a fiber optic ceiling for viewing in reality increased; the 2D class of the B. Maderna plexus of S. Anna has created an open-air classroom that stimulates experiential and experimental learning, anchored to the environment in which it develops and through the relationship that the subject establishes with the elements that surround.
During the awards ceremony, the President of the College of Surveyors of the province of Venice, Michele Cazzaro, expressed his compliments to all the students present. The students established a good dialogue with the President, explaining their initiatives in great detail, how their ideas were born and what their sources of inspiration were. The students received a diary and a diploma of participation as a gift.
The students’ work was followed and supervised with great dedication by Professor Gloria Gallimberti and Professor Marco Giuriato.
Heartfelt thanks go to all those who contributed to the success of this initiative, which allowed students to express their creativity and approach the world of planning and the surveying profession.
