Regional Anci

The Assembly, which took place today in Genoa, was an opportunity for an update on the activities carried out

The meeting was held today in the Council Hall of the Metropolitan City of Genoa.Shareholders’ Meeting of Anci Liguria, an opportunity for an update on the activities carried out by the Association for the benefit of the local Ligurian communities. The 2023 final budget of the Association, illustrated by the President of the Board of Auditors, was unanimously approved by the Assembly of Mayors Alessandra Ferraraand the mission budget (download), exposed by the Director of Anci Liguria Pierluigi Vinai.
The President and the Director addressed an affectionate greeting to the 34 Mayors who were part of the large Anci family but who did not announce their re-nomination for the same position: “We all say ‘thank you’ to them for these years spent together, with a view to of mutual and fruitful collaboration – they stated – We don’t say ‘goodbye’ to everyone, because, among these, some are running as councillors”.
Among the topics addressed: the state of implementation of the Pnrr in the Ligurian territory (Anci Liguria has a direct agreement for technical assistance with 11 Municipalities); the programming of European projects, which sees Anci Liguria involved in 13 new cross-border cooperation projects Interreg Marittimo, Alcotra, Europe, Central and Alpine Space; the initiatives for the 100 years of the Province of La Spezia and the UPI event for the Centenary of Imperia scheduled for 19 and 20 September; the historic Mayors’ parade on the occasion of Republic Day on June 2nd in Rome; the 2024 edition of “Mission Italy: The Pnrr of the municipalities and the city”, scheduled for 4 and 5 July in Rome (download the complete slides).
“Today’s Assembly was important because we unanimously approved the final balance sheet 2023 and the mission budgetand we discussed some important points like the implementation status of the Pnrr – says the Vice President of Anci Liguria and Mayor of Vobbia Simone Franceschi – We have greeted 35 Mayors who with the electoral deadline of 8-9 June will either not be reconfirmed in the Administration or will possibly return with a new role: we have built relationships with many of them and worked together in the Anci Bodies and it was right that the Assembly said goodbye to them today adequately.”
“We focused on a positive balance – continues Franceschi – which It rewards work and sacrifice that we do with the offices to always give answers to the local communities, to a territory that is a source of pride for us since we are the only regional Anci to have themaximum membership of all local authorities in the area, 234 municipalities, the 3 Provinces, the metropolitan city of Genoa, but also having Federsanità Anci Liguria within us, which brings together all the healthcare and hospital companies. This allows us to build an important relationship where needs and offers meet to give those answers that our Mayors ask of us”.
“It is obvious and natural that on many topics, from Pnrr to the new ones community projectsthe subject of discussion, there is still a lot to do – concludes Franceschi – For this reason we have urged and invited everyone to participate in the third appointment of ‘Mission Italy‘, which this year will take place in Rome on 4 and 5 July, a moment of discussion between the Municipalities and the Government to understand what are the difficulties, the critical issues and the results that we must necessarily bring home because the territory needs them” .
