Good blood doesn’t lie. Antoniozzi junior kicks two carabinieri

On his Instagram bio he writes “never take a step back”, but he also follows the mantra in real life. Tancredi Antoniozzi, 21-year-old son of the Melonian MP Alfredo, seems like a small marquis of contemporary cricket even when he interfaces with the police, in particular with two carabinieri who last month stopped him on board his SUV while he was speeding through the center of Rome. “Tomorrow you will find yourself without a job, I will have you fired, you don’t know who I am and whose son I am, I am the son of Antoniozzi, the parliamentarian, I will make you come to a bad end, I know the Police Commissioner of Rome”. A threat that within a few minutes turned into an attack against the military personnel.

The details of the events which occurred on 18 April in via Vittorio Emanuele II are reported by La Repubblica Roma: Antoniozzi junior was with his peer Vincenzo Palma when the police stopped him because he was driving “at high speed and with maneuvers dangerous for public safety, in particular of the people present”, we read in the documents. The friend instead supported him: “Well done, call your father and show them how they lose their jobs, do it immediately and don’t waste time first – “instead of stopping who he broke my glass, break us” – then the threats – “I’ll have you fired, you don’t know who I am” – and finally the attack, when Palma threw himself at a policeman, pushing him to the ground and kicking him, while Antoniozzi would have made the other soldier fall. Hence the charges for both boys of resistance and injuries. Defended by the lawyer Francesco Scacchi, the two agreed to an 8-month prison sentence.

It is not the first time that Tancredi Antoniozzi has found himself involved in violent events. In January 2022, still eighteen years old, he was involved in the investigation into a fight that took place in Cortina, when a group of Roman boys, including Antoniozzi junior, clashed with a group of young people from Treviso. “That night, leaving the Hotel de la Poste, I noticed a fight – Antoniozzi junior had told Repubblica – but I didn’t see who the boys involved were, I immediately walked away. They say that my friends were involved in the fight, but not it’s true. As for the thugs – he defended himself – I know what names are being thrown around, but I haven’t seen anything”. “It was a fight, not an assault,” the father intervened. Now the question is different. It certainly wasn’t a fight. The accusations in fact speak of resistance and injuries.
