Friday 24 May the actor and playwright Gianfranco Gallo will present the documentary at the Domus Ars in Naples The Fire in the Whale… the devotees of Spartak San Gennaro, dedicated to the Spartak San Gennaro youth football team which brings together the kids from the Montesanto neighborhood giving them a new social opportunity.

The singer-songwriter was also guests of the event Roberto Colella (The mask), Alan De Luca, Ciccio Merolla, Paese Mio Bello, Dario Sansone, Monica Sarnelli, Shaone-Op.Rot feat. Gea Vesuvia And Luigi Esposito, Antonio Maiello, Michele Visconte. The journalist will introduce Fabrizio Cappella.

Thanks to the fundraisers promoted by Gallo, the team participates in national tournaments and purchases useful material for training: balls, jerseys, jackets. The kids who are part of Spartak come, it is underlined, “mainly from complicated and often difficult backgrounds. Some of them have consciously chosen to undertake this common path, uniting with their stories and the desire to belong to one team.” The documentary was created with the aim of making known the reality of Spartak San Gennaro, using the means of cinema and TV to spread the message. “In the documentary – says Gianfranco Gallo – there is a clear presence of Eduardo De Filippo, he began working with and for the children of the former Filangieri prison first and for those of Nisida later. I had my little torch with which I was trying to shed light and I found myself in a stronger light, his, which made everything clearer to me. I followed him without realizing it. It is no coincidence that the Spartak boys, taken off the streets, train right in the courtyard of the Salita Pontecorvo facility.”
