The Marila Asd of Fino Mornasco competed in the Silver Together stage of Bollate with gymnasts making their first experience in this pair category.
Podium for Marila Asd
A weekend full of competitions just concluded in Bollate by Marila Asd as part of the Silver ensemble championship. The Fino Mornasco rhythmic gymnastics club took to the stage on Sunday 19 May in the LB2 students category with Yuma Galli And Cecilia Di Francesco. The athletes brought home a prestigious third place, made even more precious by the fact that for them it was their absolute debut in a pairs competition.
The LB2 open pair consisting of Elisa Veneziano And Gaia Schiera who reached the top step of the podium with an overall score of 10,350.
In the end Veronica Bellocco And Naomi Buson concluded the weekend of racing in the LC2 open category. The couple stood out on the stage for their grit and determination which allowed them to perform a dynamic and musical exercise. However, some unfortunate inaccuracies did not allow Bellocco and Buson to reach the podium. They stopped in 4th place.
The commentary of the technical directors
“All the gymnasts who took to the stage are having their first experience in this pairs category – the technical directors declared with satisfaction Marta Corbetta And Ilaria Chindamo – They were therefore very good and can only improve. The Veneziano – Schiera pair showed a huge improvement compared to the first test and will improve further in view of the next Nationals in Rimini. It’s a shame for the small inaccuracies that stopped Bellocco and Buson from winning the wooden medal, but we are not discouraged because they will be able to make up for it at the national championships. Galli and Di Francesco were truly superlative.”
The satisfaction of Marila’s technical staff and fans was enormous for the outcome of three tests which certify the hard work carried out by the gymnasts in the gym and the excellent programming of the club. “We aim to do well for the Rimini Nationals and get some satisfaction”, declared the president of the club Marvin DiNapoli.
