Object: Next public competition for access to the firefighter qualification:
1. request for reserved seats for drivers or alternatively obligation to obtain them VF license for those who use these qualifications for the purposes of the hiring ranking;
2. request to allow participation to young people about to achieve the diploma similar to what is foreseen for State Police competitions;
3. request for urgent issue of competition notice.
Given the very serious nature shortage of driver personnel which is putting the provision of public emergency services and the staff’s right to holidays in difficulty, we are once again asking that the next competition notice include a pro-quotahiring dedicated to this figure professional as happened in the past or, alternatively, that the notice contains a specific obligation to obtain the VF license for those who use this qualification for the purposes of the score useful for the hiring ranking. It is clear that the lack of this forecast will produce irreparable effects in the coming years.
Given thehigh average age of operational staff of the National Fire Brigade is necessary encourage participation in competitions by young peopleespecially the very young who will subsequently obtain their degree necessary for participation.
It does not seem complicated to “copy” a rule already used for years in other bodies, such as article 3, paragraph 6 of Legislative Decree no. 95/2017 where it provides that “For access purposes, through public or internal competition, to the qualifications of the roles and careers of the State Police:
to) the required educational qualification and any professional qualification required may be achieved by the date of the first test, including preliminary tests”.
Finally, given thevery high number of expected retirements in the coming years we urge theurgency of issuing the competition notice in question.
