Mesoraca (Kr) – Water shortage caused by drought was the topic of the meeting between Sorical and the Municipality of Mesoraca. The low rainfall of the last year has reduced the flow of springs throughout the Crotone area and Mesoraca is experiencing the effects of climate change first-hand.
The sole director of Sorical Cataldo Calabrettaaccompanied by the purification area manager Mauro Locanto and by the manager of the Crotone area office Giuseppe Laporta, made an initial inspection of the infrastructures of the important municipality. First stop today at the Vergara springs where the water resource is collected through an intake structure and then made drinkable by a plant. In the next few days there will be an inspection of the purification plant with Congesi technicians.

Public Massimiliano Ferrazzo and the area manager of Congesi Valter Pugliano. Sorical will soon take over from Congesi in the management of the integrated water service of the 14 municipalities of Crotone.
“We are very close to this community – Calabretta told the administrators – and in the next few days other Sorical technicians will come here to find a structural solution to this problem which, now, affects various areas of Calabria”.
“Sorical – added the administrator – following the timetable approved by Arrical, will acquire the management of the service of all the municipalities of Calabria. It will be a long and complex job that will improve the quality of the service with great benefits for citizens. Since last year, the company has started a digitalisation project of the entire water network which will allow constant monitoring of the quality of the service and the management of the commercial relationship with the user”.
