Asec Trade, with its president Giovanni La Magna and the member of the Board of Directors Massimiliano Giacco, together with the president of Catania Rete Gas Gianfranco Todaro and the students of the Academy of Fine Arts, accompanied by prof Gianluca Lombardo, met the Mayor of Catania Enrico Trantino at Palazzo degli Elefanti. Also present was the manager of Asec Trade, engineer Gaetano Pirrone. At the center of the event is the success that the “Volatile” exhibition achieved during its exhibition at the Massimo Ligreggi Gallery. A symbol of overcoming the boundary between public and private, to promote art in all its forms, which saw the historic gasometer of the city of Catania as the protagonist. “An exhibition of extreme interest and attractiveness with public companies and artists from the Academy of Fine Arts in the foreground – states Mayor Trantino – our administration continuously promotes cultural events like this”. “Volatile” is the story in images of twelve young artists and a curator, Mario Bronzino.
A project born from the virtuous collaboration between Asec Trade, the Academy of Fine Arts, Catania Rete Gas and the Massimo Ligreggi Gallery with the patronage of the Municipality of Catania. “I would like to thank the First Citizen of Catania for today’s meeting and for the opportunity that the students of the Academy of Fine Arts had to dialogue with him,” stated Giovanni La Magna, president of Asec Trade, adding: the “Volatile” exhibition demonstrated that, in addition to doing those activities we are called to do due to our role, we can spread culture in this beautiful city. The president of Catania Gas Catania Gianfranco Todaro spoke of the beauty of the old gasometer, a place to be redeveloped: “The fruitful collaboration with the Academy of Fine Arts leads to certainly important results with the hope of creating the Gas Museum”.
