Accident in Serravalle: the young motorcyclist transferred to Careggi

PISTOIA – The young 27-year-old motorcyclist injured in the accident yesterday evening, Tuesday 13 May, on the Lucchese provincial road, near the Via della Castellina junction, has been transferred to Careggi. The young motorcyclist, who suffered multiple injuries and fractures in the impact with a van, is not in danger of his life.

The accident occurred just before 7pm. The motorcyclist riding a Honda Hornet was coming from Masotti towards Montecatini when a car, traveling in front of the motorbike, turned towards Castellina. The van, which was waiting to merge onto Lucchese at the stop sign, thus moved into gear and entered the road, towards Masotti. The motorcyclist, who continued towards Montecatini, found himself in front of the van and was unable to brake. The Honda hit the left side of the vehicle head on, a very violent impact so much so that the young man fell to the ground. The first to help him was a motorcyclist who spoke to the boy, shaking his hand and waiting for help to arrive.

The motorcyclist was taken under code red to the emergency room of the Pistoia hospital and subsequently transferred to Careggi this morning. (The)
