Realme – as announced a few days ago – presented the 12 5G series today in Milan, consisting of Realme 12+ 5G, Realme 12 5G and Realme 12x 5G. They are mid-range products aimed at a young audience, looking for products with a modern look, a powerful, agile and balanced technical framework and a wallet-friendly price. These are the key points and they are shared, then it is clear that the three occupy different segments and have different peculiarities.

Realme 12+ 5G it’s a “high-level mid-ranger”explains Realme, which focus on photographythanks to the recent sensor Sony LYT-600 50 MP with optical stabilization used for the main camera. Thanks to the relatively high resolution and quality of the sensor, Realme promises, always with the main camera and not with a dedicated one, a 2x zoom “which maintains superior image quality”.

The camera, according to the official numbers, opens in 0.8 seconds, and up to 208 images per minute can be captured thanks to continuous shooting. Furthermore, explains Realme, thanks to the exposure algorithms, the intelligent automatic focusing of the subjects, the motion detection and the optical stabilization, it was possible to improve the success rate of rapid shots by 40%. For the design of Realme 12+ 5G, the company collaborated with the designer Ollivier Saveo, which drew on its extensive experience with the great Swiss watchmakers, including Rolex, Piaget or Breitling. Realme 12+ 5G incorporates premium vegan leather that is 10% softer and more resistant to wear than before. In terms of resistance, the IP54 certification should be noted.

Realme 12 5G is defined as “the master of performance under 300 euros”. The SoC is a MediaTek Dimensity 6100+ 5G with a 6 nm production process, quite advanced for the segment. Realme 12 5G also wants to be one of the best choices in its segment in terms of photographic capabilities, and it tries supported by a 108 MP main cameracapable, thanks to its high resolution, of offering lower resolution images but with 3x zoom without quality losses.

The battery capacity is average for the segment, 5,000 mAh, but recharging is quite quick: the SuperVooc can push the Realme 12 5G up to 45 watts. It is available in Woodland Green and Twilight Purple colors. We will publish the review in a few hours.

Realme 12x 5G introduces the Light Feather Designa technique through which the surface of the phone is made with hundreds of thousands of feather textures made realistic by more than 64 million textural variations in the glossy grid. In the sun, these patterns adapt to variations in light and shadow “returning a light and refined design”.

The Realme 12x 5G SoC is the same 6 nanometer MediaTek Dimensity 6100+ as its “brother” Realme 12 5G, and it is also thanks to the SoC that the 12x 5G has obtained the 48 month TÜV SÜD fluidity certificate, which guarantees smooth performance even after four years of use. IP54 certification is not missing.
