“What does organic mean? Is it just a trend or is it a necessary choice?”. These are just some of the questions that the guests of the event will try to answer “Organic recipe: the cure begins at the table”, organized by Bakery in the Marche region Saturday 18 May at 5pm, in the laboratory located in Morrovalle.

La Forneria Marchigiana is an old-fashioned bakerywhich produces and sells natural bread and desserts with ingredients from the Marche region, without industrial preparations or additives, like they were once made at home.

“In recent decades, diseases linked to poor nutrition have increased dramaticallywhile the surface area of cultivated land decreased and numerous farms closed, even in the Marche region” he says Marco Salvucci, co-founder and technical manager of Forneria Marchigiana. “For these reasons we have chosen to create baked products on whose labels you will never find powdered, industrial or foreign ingredients, nor strange aromas or acronyms, but only natural and Marche raw materials”.

For a few weeks now, Forneria Marchigiana’s commitment to protecting the environment has been officially recognised: they have obtained the organic certification for breads with sourdough and Marche, organic and stone-ground flours and for some snacks, both sweet and savory.

“After becoming certified organic, we realized that many people are not clear what organic is and why it can be important – explains Salvucci -. And since our job is not just to produce food but to spread the culture of food, we organized an event to answer the most common questions.”

For the occasion, an exceptional guest was invited, the doctor Renata Alleva, nutritionist, PhD in biochemistry and specialist in food science, who has been dealing with the relationship between organic food and health for years.

They will introduce the meeting Emanuele Loiaconopresident of Slow Food Condotta of Civitanova Marche e Simone Urbani, agricultural expert and organic consultant AgritechITALIA. A small tasting of organic products will follow.

“We decided to organize the event in our laboratory, to show the ingredients and tools we use, with maximum transparency. Unfortunately, however, given the spaces and popularity of Dr. Alleva, places are limited and it is possible to participate only by purchasing the ticket on Eventbrite – announces Marco Salvucci -. However, we have decided to reward our customers, who continue to support us day after day: in fact, those who have the free Forneria Marchigiana app can purchase the ticket for free by entering the discount code they find in the News in the app. A further advantage that adds to the possibility of receiving exclusive promos, conveniently ordering products to collect them in store and accessing the advantages card with which you can win prizes and get ever-increasing permanent discounts on your receipt, from 3 to 15%”.
