The Palermo native of Rolling Bike wins in Verona Soave Bike and puts the three-time Italian XCm Champion behind him Yuri Ragnoli from the FM Bike Factory Racing And Alexey Medved, two-time European Marathon Champion of the DMT Racing Team.

A not very demanding first part of the route which allowed 7 cyclists to escape with Spica, Ragnoli and Medved in the lead, but it is in the second area of the route, characterized by a long half-hour climb, that the three managed to do selection and continue the action yourself. Towards the end of the climb Medved broke away and Spica together with Ragnoli from Brescia headed towards the last kilometers leading to the finish line, but in the last decisive single track Spica also showed off his technical skills which allowed him to take away the satisfaction to win a top-level race.

Yuri and Alex started off strong straight away, but on the final stretch Medved pulled away and so I decided to stay behind Ragnoli’s wheel without taking the initiative, as he knew the route well having already taken part in past editions. In the last kilometers I saw that I had more legs than him and so I decided to push and managed to bring home this important and prestigious victory.”
