Davide Piotti takes 10 at the Luino-Montenegrino Slalom

The 2nd Slalom Luino-Montegrino awards the tenth career victory to Davide Piotti (Osella PA/9 with 4-cylinder BMW 2000 engine) who preceded Marco Riboni (Fiat 127 proto2000) and Giuseppe Scozzafava (Radical Rs4 1400).

At the awards ceremony, full satisfaction was expressed by the 50 competing drivers, by the organizers of the Automobile Club Varese and by the patrons of the Municipality of Luino and Montegrino. The Biasuzzi Memorial was delivered by the family and the match officials of AC Varese to Paolo Bordo and Marco Leoni. The event awarded points for the Aci Sport zona1 Slalom Cup

Fourth was Lele Rodili on a Ford Fiesta powered by Opel 2000, followed in order by Palmiro Strizzi (Roadtser), Marco Leoni (Skoda), ‘Bomberos’ (Vst), Paolo Bordo (Clio), Stefano Dal Magro on A 112. Tenth and first by gr.N Alessandro Marchetti (Clio R3-Smd), promoter of the ‘Race to Donate’ project. Rita Sammartino wins the E2 1150 class and the women’s title at the wheel of the Legend Car.

The Memorial dedicated to Giancarlo Biasuzzi was handed over by his children Cristina and Andrea to Paolo Bordo (1st group S) and Marco Leoni (1st group A). One trophy was offered by the family, the other by the Officials Group of ACI Varese.

Among the historic victories of Antonio Avesani over his HRT teammate Davide Sartoris (Peugeot 205), followed a few tenths by Gaetano Mazzetti (Ritmo Abarth). In the 2000 class the podium was made up of Davide Tiziani (208), Marco Rodili and Cosimo De Tommaso (Clio). In N1600 yet another triumph for Orlando Tartaini (Saxo) over Tommaso Negri (106).
