RING HOCKEY – The second semi-final match of the A/1 rink hockey championship play-offs saw Trissino win 7-1 over Follonica as in game one. The result was unlocked by a great play by Davide Gavioli in a really good moment for Trissino.
The doubling is thanks to the invention of Joao Pinto, Jordi Mendez scores one of the best goals of the playoffs: served by Joao Pinto he turns in the narrow and with a diving diagonal he manages to make it 3-0. Follonica exploits a light defense to be able to finish on the fly with captain Federico Pagnini almost at the end. In the second half Andrea Malagoli serves Joao Pinto who scores into an empty net. Then he also scores the goal to make it 6-1 and Gioele Piccoli in numerical superiority face to face with Barozzi sets the score at 7-1. On Saturday it will be repeated again at the home of the Italian champions who can close the score. In Serie A/2, CGC Viareggio, already promoted to A1, recovered the match against Sarzana by winning 8 to 7 with a peremptory comeback at the end after the zebras had been ahead for a good part of the match. For Sergio Festa’s Ligurians three goals from Pistelli, then Angeletti, Tognacca, Perroni and Baldocchi. With 10 minutes to go the guests led 5-7, until Puccinelli was sent off for protesting. Outnumbered, CGC recovers: first they equalize and then Raffaelli scores the winning goal. Raffaelli (3), Muglia (4) who reaches 51 goals for the season, and Rosi scored for the Bianconeri. Thanks to this victory, CGC rises to 46 in the rankings, +12 over its cousins Farmaè Pumas Viareggio.
