Villasimius surrounded by pain for the death of Stefano and Mario: “We have lost two great friends of our sea”

The sea took them away during a routine activity, one of the many submarine operations they carried out, almost with their eyes closed. Place a signaling buoy on the wreck of the San Marco steamship. The news of the discovery of their bodies at a depth of over one hundred meters shook the whole of Villasimius, a town shrouded in pain: “A huge misfortune, we are all heartbroken. I had known Stefano in particular for over twenty years”, recalls the mayor Luca Dessì, moved. “I gather around his loved ones and those of Mario Perniciano. We are astonished by what happened, two expert divers who died in this way, at sea. Stefano had lived in the village for a very long time, all the citizens and boaters knew him very well”. Just as they met, by rebound, their friend from many dives, Mario. “They were great friends and often went out together,” continues the mayor. He too, like everyone else, hoped for a happy ending until the end.

“Now we are waiting to hear the magistrate’s decisions.” The two bodies will be analyzed by the medical examiner Roberto Demontis, who will draw a clear picture of the causes of death. Which could have been caused by a sudden illness of one of the divers which led his friend to intervene to try to save him. Hypothesis, nothing more. In the background there are, unfortunately, “two good guys. Stefano was a character throughout Villasimius, on the day of the funeral we will try to give him a proper funeral.”
