Brilliant results for the Bisceglie student-tennis players of the city institutes “Battisti/Ferraris” and “Giacinto Dell’Olio” involved in the regional finals of the Student Specialty Championships hosted on the courts of the “New Country” of Bari.
Coordinated by prof. Ruggiero Amoroso, the representative of the SSS 1st Grade “Battisti – Ferraris” made up of Alessio Cardillo, Giorgio De Marco and Giuseppe Di Benedetto stood out well by overcoming the “Quinto Ennio” institute of Lecce in the semi-final, before giving up in the final – only at the end of the play-off doubles – at the “Bianco Pascoli” school in Fasano. Furthermore, in the singles draw, the “Battisti Ferraris” took another significant second place thanks to Alessio Cardillo, beaten in the final by Davide Ciani from Fasano.
Added to these flattering results is the triumph in the women’s individual draw of the Apulian Student Championships by Arianna Palazzo, representative of the IISS Dell’Olio led in the capital by teacher Isa Paulillo. Palazzo prevailed with very clear scores, displaying impressive performances that amplify the regret for the failure to establish a national final in the current school year, a competition in which Arianna could have gained further satisfaction.
