Roberto Facello, born in 1942, resident in Fiano, is the man who lost his life last night, Monday 6 May 2024, in a road accident in Corso Garibaldi in Venaria.
The tragedy occurred around 5.30pm when Facello, due to an illness, lost control of his BMW, hitting two other cars traveling in the opposite direction: a Fiat Punto and a 500
Attempts to resuscitate him by the 118 healthcare personnel of the Royal Cross Public Assistance and the Green Cross were in vain.
The Carabinieri of the Venaria station and mobile radio branch intervened on site to manage traffic and reconstruct the dramatic accident.
Another man, the driver of the Fiat Punto, was transported to Ciriè hospital for facial trauma. The driver of the 500 XL, however, was in shock.
Corso Garibaldi, which had been closed to traffic in both directions from the Via Iseppon roundabout up to and including Largo Garibaldi, was reopened to traffic around 9pm last night.
