We learned through the press that yesterday six workers, employees of the Quadrifoglio group Srl company in Partinico (PA), were involved in an accident at work while they were carrying out maintenance work on the sewage system on behalf of Amap. in a street in Casteldaccia in the province of Palermo; unfortunately, five of the six workers died and one is in intensive care at the Palermo Polyclinic.
“First of all, I am obliged to offer my deepest condolences to the families of the five workers who died yesterday in Casteldaccia, in the hope that the conditions of the sixth worker involved can improve. Safety in the world of work has always been an issue close to the hearts of all of Confinte, naturally we are waiting for full clarity on the matter, but if there have been any irregularities in the safety of the work of these workers it is right that those who made the mistake should pay. It is not possible in 2024 to cry again over unrelated deaths, today there are laws and tools to effectively prevent them and all the actors involved in the world of work must constantly do everything in their power to ensure that episodes of this kind do not never happen again,” so declares the Dr. Domenico Amato, Territorial Secretary Confimpresa Palermo.
