He has been arrested by the Local Police of Luino, in agreement with the Deputy Public Prosecutor of Varese, Dr. Dalla Palma, the driver of the Volkswagen Golf who on Saturday afternoon – 4 May – caused the road accident along the SS.344 dir, which connects Luino in Cremenaga and which cost Francesco Ferrazzo his life.
From the investigations carried out so far by the men of the Via Piero Chiara Command and from the technical investigations carried out immediately after the events, it has in fact been ascertained that the driver of the Golf, a forty-year-old native of the area, he was driving while intoxicated and under the influence of drugs.
To ascertain the exact dynamics and gather further evidence of the elements already in the hands of the investigators, further technical evidence is planned, including the autopsy on the body of the deceased for which the date has not yet been set.
We remind you that there were a total of four cars involved in the accident six people were injured, two of whom are still in grave conditionwhile the others appear to have been treated and discharged with a prognosis ranging from one to ten days.
