He would have caused an accident by driving with an alcohol level almost 4 times over the permitted limit: this is how a 34-year-old man, with a police record against him, ended up in trouble, reported by the Carabinieri of the Casalbuttano station for driving while intoxicated.
It was around 10.30pm on April 1st, when the man, at the wheel of his car and with two other people in his bag, crossed into the oncoming lane, crashing into another car. Both drivers were seriously injured. The military intervened on site and, following the findings of the case, reached the injured in hospital, asking them to carry out specialist tests on the 34-year-old aimed at verifying his possible state of intoxication.
A rate of over 1.90 g/l emerged. Having received medical confirmation of his state of psychophysical alteration while driving and taking into account the aggravating circumstances of night time and having caused a road accident with injuries, he was reported to the judicial authorities and his driving license was withdrawn.
