Sunday 5 May at PalaGallo of Catanzaro the regional FITA fighting tournament reserved for classes took place Beginners, Children and Kids. Under the guidance of maestro Tonino Guerra and the expert coaches Maria Fragale, Giampaolo Mungo, Francesca Promenzio, Anna Badolato and assistants Luciano Scozzafava, Hajar Soufiane and Miriam Pizzi, the team Golden TaeKwonDo War made up of 28 very young athletes, it was once again able to maintain a high level of competitiveness by achieving 26 podiums.
In the category – 33 Kg excellent statement of FRANCESCA SOFIA FARRELI who at the end of the 3rd round with a score of 9 to 9 makes the final his own, winning the gold medal; gold also in the -24 kg category with a splendid final won clearly on points FRANCESCO VERGATA who takes the match on points 12 to 0; in the -21 kg category, gold for GIULIA MARIA PIZZI and finally in the category – 44 kg, gold for AMINE ZIANI.
In the other matches, excellent technical competitive performance by THOMAS CRISTIAN RICCELLI, LUDOVICA MARIA FALVO, NICOL PICARDO, ESTER TASSONE, GIORGIA TROPEA, BIAMONTE GABRIELE, GIORGIA VENTRE, SARA GRANDINETTI, REBECCA ZANGARI and YASSINE AMINE, all silver medal. Present at the event was the President of the Institute Council of the IC Manzoni Catanzaro Nord/Est – Orlando Parentela, who on behalf of the School Director Prof. Giulio Comerci, complimented the excellent results achieved by the students enrolled in the school’s 1st Sports Project. Thanks to these flattering results, in the Social medal table of Student Sports Projects, IC Mater Domini (Galestra Galati) adds 3 silver medals, IC Manzoni (Anile Gym) 1 silver and 2 bronze and Convitto Galluppi 4 gold, 7 silver and 4 bronze.
