Mattia Stenico confirms himself as the king of the Internazionali d’Italia Series of mountain bikes. The standard bearer of Team Fratelli Giorgi imposed himself in the Montello XC by attacking immediately on the mud Battle Nervesa and above all having in the final on Thomas Bosio (Trevigliese cycling).
Stenico and Bosio led the test for several laps before the representative of the Torre de’ Roveri team managed to go away alone, leaving his colleague fifty-one seconds behind and Ettore Fabbro (KTM-Protek-Elettrosystem) of 1’13.
“I tried to stay in front straight away to avoid crashes and various problems – explained Stenico after arrival -. In the central phase of the race Tommaso and I were together, then he probably did something wrong, I noticed the gap and continued as fast as possible to the finish line, achieving the third victory in the offroad sector after those in Verona and Stevenà”.
Despite the result that emerged on the Venetian track, Bosio retains the leader’s jersey of the competition after the first three stages.
