Formula1, Verstappen wins the Sprint race in Miami

AGI – The Sprint Race of the Miami Grand Prix is won, needless to say, by Max Verstappen. The Red Bull driver completed the 19 laps all in the lead, trailing Charles Leclerc in the Ferrari at a safe distance. The other Red Bull of Sergio Perez closes the podium, while a super Daniel Ricciardo confirms the fourth place achieved yesterday in the Sprint Shootout, keeping Carlos Sainz’s Red Bull behind him with a great defense.

As the traffic lights went out Leclerc tried to attack Verstappen, but the Dutchman didn’t give him space and kept him behind him, while just behind an extraordinary Ricciardo mocked Perez and took third place from him. Sainz holds onto the fifth place achieved in qualifying, then after a few corners he is forced to immediately deploy the Safety Car due to multiple contact between Alonso, Hamilton, Stroll and Norris (the latter two get the worst of it and retire).

At the restart Verstappen firmly holds the lead of the race, while Perez takes back third place from Ricciardo who is also put in check by Sainz. However, the Australian defends himself with pride and character and holds his own.
