Fulgens Foligno-Atletico BMG 3-0

CANNARA – After winning the Excellence and achieving the historic rise to Serie D, Fulgens Foligno also beat Atletico BMG in the final which awarded the title of Champion of Excellence. Already in the first half Alessandro Manni’s team led the challenge, even if Francesco Farsi’s eleven complained about an episode in the 1st minute for an alleged penalty on Canavese which, however, referee Ciorba did not judge as such.
In the 8th minute, however, the result broke the deadlock: Di Cato went to cross, touched Francescangeli with his hand in the area and this time the referee pointed to the spot, on which Khribech appeared and did not miss the conversion. Fulgens Foligno flies and within a few minutes also scores the second goal. It’s the 11th minute when the usual Di Cato works well on the right, he hits the ball in the area picking out Bruschi who is quick to put the ball into the net to make it 2-0.
The one-two sends the Italian Cup winning team into deep trouble and they try timidly with Paletta in the 37th minute. In the 42nd minute, however, here was the hat-trick for the Foligno players: Settimi drew a perfect trajectory, catching Di Cato great in depth who framed the goal with his left foot very well, leaving no chance for Battistelli.
In the second half Atletico BMG made a good start, they at least wanted to try and in the 2nd and 6th minute Paciotti and then Paletta tried, but Lori always kept good guard. Goalkeeper from Foligno who also neutralizes a gore from Paciotti in the 17th minute.
In the 23rd minute, however, a double super intervention by Battistelli: first on Rocchi with a turn and on De Sanctis’ headbutt. The match also becomes a bit nervous and there are 4 yellow cards in the space of four minutes.
In the 33rd minute the last gasp of the match came from Atletico BMG when Mattia Valentini sent it just over the corner kicked by Paletta.
Thus ends the challenge against the ‘Spoletini’ of Cannara which sees Fulgens Foligno smiling again, our Umbrian representative in the next Serie D season.
