The city remembers Valter Baldaccini: a life dedicated to serving the common good and to the most important value: peace
Foligno, 4 May 2024 – Today, 4 May 2024, marks the tenth year since the passage to eternal life of Valter Baldaccini, Founder of UMBRAGROUP. Engineer Baldaccini was a man constantly serving the common good, with his values and ideas he inspired and continues to inspire the company’s actions today. Not only on a business level, but above all towards the wider community, which played a central role in his life.
Valter Baldaccini as a man, even before as an entrepreneur, has always made fundamental concepts his own: the importance of relationships, be they commercial or between colleagues, the essential respect for others, the idea of a business linked to economy of us, whereby wealth must be redistributed among the many. With his thoughts and actions he was an example in sowing the value of peace.
It was born like this VALTER BALDACCINI: CULTIVATING A MORE PEACEFUL WORLD. The title that will accompany UMBRAGROUP throughout 2024 and which contains within it some initiatives aimed at honoring Valter Baldaccini, underlining his personality both on a professional level and in his private life.
It is precisely from the words of Eng. Baldaccini, taken from the book “Valter Baldaccini: enlightened entrepreneur serving the common good. The collection of writings and speeches”, published by Franco Angeli and edited by the Valter Baldaccini Foundation, which brings together the key thoughts that inspired UMBRAGROUP’s 2024 initiatives:
“You will agree with me that only one wish prevails above the others: may a new age begin in which humanity finally finds that peace which is the value on which the others are grafted, because peace means life, growth, search for improvement in relationships with others and in relationships between peoples.
In truly peace, man can become the center of every activity, not only in terms of what he does or produces, but also in view of the purposes for which he is committed at all levels.
